Crusade: 1st Crusade

Scenario Briefing: Variant - The Crusader's success at Antioch left the Council of Princes divided about who should rule Antioch and lead the army to Jerusalem. But with the onset of winter, their first priority was the obtainment of supplies. Little could be done if the army was deprived of food.

To resolve this problem, foraging parties were sent out and one of these came to the city of Ma'arat al-Numan. However, the city was under the protection Ridwan of Aleppo and refused the Crusader's demand to open their gates. Three of the Princes came to lay siege, Raymond IV, Robert of Flanders and finally the late arrival of Bohemond.

This battle is a little longer and has a relieving force from Aleppo arriving to assist the loyal garrison within the city.

Remember, only units that have a strength of 75 or less may use a siege tower to reach a wall hex.

Recommended Rules: [Default]
