Date: January 6th, 1148 - Size: Small - Location: Mountain pass (Mount Cadmus) on the way to Attaleia
Crusade: 2nd Crusade
Scenario Briefing: With their recent victory at the Battle of Ephesus, in late December, King Louis VII and his Crusaders continued their march to Jerusalem via Attaleia. To get there, the Crusaders would need to pass through the mountains that separate Phrygia from Pisidia. This was a treacherous route fraught with danger from both the Seljuks and the mountains themselves - and Winter has come! The battle you are about to fight will be along a relatively narrow pass on the side of a mountain, Mount Cadmus. If playing as a Crusader, be sure to look at both the elevation changes and for the enemy you know is not far away. As a Seljuk, you are not on horseback, rather you are fighting as an infantryman. Draw your sword or spear and send these vanguard Crusaders from France, to their death. They need only be pushed over the precipice. Good Luck and glory to your victory.
Recommended Rules: [Default]
Intended to be played as either side against the AI or Head-to-Head.
This battle may seem one-sided in favor of the Islamic Alliance, but both sides can win.
