(Historical 30 minute turns) Prices's 1864 Invasion of Missouri was the final act of a drama which had been going on since before the Civil War as the neighbors of Kansas and Missouri had fought each other over the slavery issue. General Sterling Price rampaged across the width of Missouri, recruiting for his army and pillaging enough wealth to fill 500 wagons. With Pleasonton and A J Smith closing in from the east, and Sam Curtis blocking him to the west, his only hope is to escape to the southwest. The armies would clash at Westport, now a suburb of Kansas City, as Price fights to protect his line of retreat.
