1800 01 Nov 1914. Admiral von Spee's East Asiatic Squadron had been loose in the Pacific since the outbreak of the war. The situation was unacceptable to the British Admiralty and they placed Rear Admiral Craddock on alert to intercept von Spee if he tried to round Cape Hope and break out into the Atlantic. They came upon each other at sundown. This scenario gives Craddock the HMS Defence, a ship he had requested, but had been denied. This scenario also makes use of deployment boxes.
