Scenario length – 4 hours
December 22, 1941. [Hypothetical] After the successful repulse of the first Japanese attack on Wake Island, it was decided to send a convoy of reinforcements to the Island. However, while that convoy was still at sea, the Japanese attacked in much greater force, including the 2nd Carrier Division. At the time of the attack, TF 14 was still about 500 miles away from Wake, refueling. This scenario assumes that TF 14 was close enough to contest the Japanese approach to Wake the afternoon of the 22nd. The Japanese forces are generally to the WSW from the US Forces.
