Single Battle - The Battle of Borodino, Davout's Maneuver (60 turns, Large) - September 7, 1812 - On the eve of the Battle of Borodino, Davout suggested that he be given part or all of his corps along with Poniatowski's V corps and be allowed to attempt a flanking maneuver to avoid the strong Russian defenses. This scenario allows you to examine that strategy. Moving at dark with part of the I corps, the V corps and the I Res. Cavalry Corps the French attempt to flank Kutusov's armies. Russian troops to the south may release and be able to react to this move to simulate the possibility that Davout's move is detected.
