Single Battle - First Battle of Polotsk (130 turns, Medium) - Aug. 17-18, 1812 - Wittgenstein and his First Corps are operating against the Northern Wing of the French army made up of Oudinot's II corps and St. Cyr's VI corps. Despite being outnumbered, Wittgenstein attacked the northern flank. After initial success, The superior French numbers eventually prevailed. Wittgenstein was able to escape with most of his corps still intact and continued to be a thorn in the French side. His corps served as a core around which a numerically superior Russian force was later built.
