17 May 1794 - Variant - Intended to be played Head to Head - See the document "SSR_Tourcoing.pdf" in the SSR folder for special scenario rules to be used during play for a more historical experience. In this version of the two day historical battle Clerfayt's 6 Kolonne arrives on schedule at 9am along with the important Pontoon Train units so they can begin repairing bridges. There are no movement restrictions on Vandamme after the 8:30am turn other than his units must move to the south side of the bridge by 10am. The French player may not lay units in ambush in the orchards along the western map edge and north of the river. It would be expected that Vandamme would evacuate all of his units from the north side of the river. All special rules for the Battle of Tourcoing as found in SSR_Tourcoing.pdf in the SSR folder concerning movement restrictions are not used in this scenario. French and Allied units are free to move on the map as they wish. Special rules #1,2 & 3 are still in force concerning bridge demolition on the Marcq River, night movement and combat. All other rules are not used in this scenario.
