17 May 1794 - Variant - Intended to be played Head to Head - NOTE: This scenario uses the 15 minute turn format. See the document "SSR_Tourcoing.pdf" in the SSR folder for special scenario rules to be used during play for a more historical experience. In this version of the full two day battle, the Allied command has ordered Clerfayt and his 6th "Kolonne" to make a feint attack at Courtrai rather than march southwest to cross the Lyls river and act as the northern pincer in the operation. Thus his forces will not be present but he will draw all of Moreau's division (including Vandamme) towards Courtrai and away from the Tourcoing area. Only Bonnaud and Souham's divisions will be present in the battle. Additionally, the the 4th and 5th Kolonnes will reinforce the Allies during the battle. Kinsky's 4th Kolonne will arrive during the mid-afternoon while Karl's 5th Kolonne will arrive at dawn during the morning of the second day of the battle.
