The advance from Sweden to the redoubt at Stene has been arduous. Poor roads, worsened by rain have plagued the Army of Jamtland. Having arrived at Stene redoubt, it is clear the Norwegians mean to fight and are well prepared. There is no easy way around and a frontal assault is the only option. It will not be easy as the Norwegians are in good defensive position and know their ground.
