N/W of Berlin\\Scenario Briefing: After an earlier minor engagement
at nearby Tarnow on 26 September, the Prussians assaulted a smaller
Swedish force at Fehrbellin. Uncertain where the enemy would
attack, the Swedes deployed their three light guns to defend
each of the three gates leading into the town. The Prussians
decided to attack the western (Mühlenthor) and eastern (Berlinerthor)
gates and, despite being repulsed at the latter were able to
break through the Mühlenthor gate and drive the outnumbered Swedish
defenders out of the town and across the bridge. However, fresh
Swedish reinforcements arrived at this point to check the Prussian
advance.
