Scenario Briefing: Augsburg Assault "What if?" - This hypothetical campaign scenario assumes that rather than face Tilly's entire army entrenched behind the river Lech, Gustavus decides to march on Augsburg and rely on his artillery to soften up the enemy defenders at the bridge before launching an assault. Since the Imperialist scouts were generally far superior, it is highly likely that Tilly would have been aware of this Swedish decision to march on Augsburg, so Imperialists reinforcements are expected to reach Augsburg in time to assist the defenders
