Scenario Briefing: After the fierce fighting on the evening of the 3rd August, the French needed to rest and recuperate on the following day. Meanwhile, the Bavarians took the opportunity to construct fresh earthworks south of Freiburg in anticipation of a fresh attack. While a third of the Bavarians rested and a third kept an eye of the French, the remaining third was busy digging fortifications on the Loretto ridge. The following morning, to Turenne's dismay, Conde obligingly threw his forces in a series of futile assaults on the strong Bavarian position.
Recommended Rules: Default - with the following alterations: Column Movement Restriction optional rule ON to represent the dense woods.
Note: Best played as the French (Anti-Imperialist) side against the Bavarian Catholic League (Imperialist) A/I.
