Scenario Briefing: The 2nd Battle of Nordlingen unfixed French Salvo variant - Demonstrating his characteristic impetuosity, the rash French general Conde launched a direct frontal assault on the strong Bavarian defensive position, resulting in heavy French losses. However, the death of the highly capable Bavarian general Mercy at a key moment in the battle, left the Bavarian army effectively leaderless. So, when Conde sent forward the fresh Hessian army, the exhausted Bavarians panicked and fled the battlefield.
Recommended Rules: Default
Note: This scenario suitable for playing either side against the A/I or else head-to-head.
Note: This scenario uses the Salvo pdt, with increased fire factors for Salvo muskets but no defensive fire capability. In addition, battalion guns are represented abstractly with enhanced range and firepower for the associated infantry units.
