1400 27 May 1905. Admiral Togo had started the battle in an unconvential way. After sailing across the path of the Russian fleet, Togo then turned his fleet to sail parallel to the Russian ships. This was a risky manuver to perform so close to the enemy, but the Russians didn't attempt to take advantage of it. With this turn, the battle of Tsushima would begin in earnest.
