Scenario Briefing: Variant - The Austrian detached corps of Lobkowitz was engaged in besieging the minor fortress of Frauenberg, in order to distract French attention while the main Austrian army engaged the Prussians in the Chotusitz campaign.

This worked all too well, and drew the attention of a sizeable French force under Broglie. Having been maneuvered out of his camp at Sahay, Lobkowitz attempted a series of poorly-coordinated attacks against the French as they came up, but was ultimately obliged to fall back and allow the French to relieve Frauenberg.

In this what-if scenario, it is assumed that the Austrians remained in their camp around Sahay, and were able to properly deploy before the arrival of the French. Historically, the French cavalry had trouble negotiating the swampy ground and was obliged to countermarch and eventually come up in the rear of the infantry; this alternative gives them the opportunity to come into action a little earlier in the day on the French right.
