Date: 9 May 1743 - Size: Medium - Location: Simbach am Inn, Bavaria
Scenario Briefing: Historical - Minucci's Bavarian detachment was under orders to retreat in the face of the superior Austrian forces under Charles of Lorraine. Instead, he rashly chose to stand and fight against the Austrian advance guard under Berlichingen, calling up reinforcements to do so.
The result was a disaster that wrecked the Bavarian forces and saw Minucci and most of his subordinate commanders taken prisoner. The Austrians were subsequently able to invest Braunau and take other, French-held, towns.
This scenario starts with the Bavarians back behind the Simbach and needing to extricate themselves from a rapidly deteriorating situation.
Recommended Rules: [Default]
Intended to be played as the Pragmatic Alliance against the Anti-Pragmatic AI or Head-to-Head.
