Scenario Briefing: Historical - As part of Conti's multi-pronged Franco-Spanish offensive against Piedmont, the ninth column of his army, under the command of the Bailli de Givri, was tasked with clearing the redoubts overlooking the Varaita valley. A fierce fight in heavy fog ensued, in which de Givri was mortally wounded, before the Piedmontese were driven from the redoubts.
Note: This battle was fought on steep hills, so the penalty for firing uphill is increased. It is likewise more expensive to move uphill.
