Date: 11 August 1744 - Size: Medium - Location: Velletri, Papal States
Scenario Briefing: Alternate - After two months of stalemate outside Velletri, Austrian commander Lobkowitz elected to break the deadlock with a bold stroke. FML Browne, with a picked force of cavalry and infantry, made an overnight march to attack Velletri from the south. With the element of surprise, it was hoped that Carlo III, the Bourbon King of Naples, might be captured in his quarters.
In this alternative deployment, the bulk of the Austrian forces are committed to a flanking maneuver directly against Velletri, leaving only screening forces to cover their former positions.
Recommended Rules: [Default]
Intended to be played as the Pragmatic Alliance against the Anti-Pragmatic forces (Naples) AI, but can be played from either side or Head-to-Head.
