Date: 21 September 1745 - Size: Small - Location: Prestonpans, Scotland
Scenario Briefing: Variant - Following the French victories on the Continent, Charles Stuart sailed for Scotland, hoping to take advantage of the situation to regain the throne lost in the Glorious Revolution.
Sir John Cope was the British commander in Scotland, but his force was extremely green. Charles was able to capture Edinburgh, and then advanced to meet Cope's force coming from Dunbar. Early on the morning of the 21st, the Highlanders attack and scattered Cope's army in one of the last successes of the Highlander Charge.
This scenario has the British reinforced with a Dutch Battalion that was historically too late to participate in the battle.
Note: The British artillerymen deserted before the battle, so each battery is only able to fire once, with the charge that was already loaded.
Recommended Rules: [Default]
Intended to be played as the Anti-Pragmatic forces against the Pragmatic Alliance AI, but can be played from either side or Head-to-Head.
