Scenario Briefing: Historical - After his defeat at Soor, Charles of Lorraine prepared a new campaign in conjunction with Austria's Saxon allies.

The main Austrian army, still including the Saxon auxiliary corps that had fought with it at Soor, would advance into Lusatia while the main Saxon army being assembled around Dresden would advance into Brandenburg.

On 23 November, the left-wing cavalry of Frederick's main army, supported by two grenadier battalions, struck the Saxon contingent of Charles' army at Katholisch Hennersdorf. Two of the three Saxon infantry regiments were absent, but the remaining one, and all three cavalry regiments, were practically wiped out. This defeat threw Charles' whole plan into disorder, and his army abandoned its offensive - this in turn allowed the Prussians to concentrate against the main Saxon army, which was defeated at Kesselsdorf the following month.

Note: The Saxon cavalry, which historically remained behind to buy time for the infantry to try and escape, begins the scenario fixed near the position where it engaged the Prussian advance.
