Date: 15 December 1745 - Size: Medium - Location: Kesselsdorf, Saxony
Scenario Briefing: Historical - Frederick divided his army into two columns to approach the Saxons in Dresden from either side. Feldmarschall Rutowsky chose to defend against Leopold of Anhalt-Dessau's column at Kesselsdorf, west of Dresden. He'd received reinforcement from a small Austrian force as well.
The Old Dessaur decided to focus his attack on the town of Kesselsdorf itself, seeking to turn the Saxon flank. After some hard fighting, the Saxons fled the field, and the following peace would end the Second Silesian War, and Prussia's involvement in the larger War of the Austrian Succession.
Note: The Austrian units to the Northeast were never engaged in the battle, and are fixed in this scenario, with a low release chance.
Recommended Rules: [Default]
Intended to be played as the Anti-Pragmatic forces against the Pragmatic Alliance AI, but can be played from either side or Head-to-Head.
