Date: 16 April 1746 - Size: Small-Medium - Location: Near Inverness, Scotland
Scenario Briefing: Historical - The final showdown of the '45 Rising saw a revitalized Government army under the Duke of Cumberland face a hungry and exhausted Jacobite force on Drummossie Muir east of Inverness. Though the highlanders on the Jacobite right charged home into the face of Government musketry and cannister, the left of the line never reached close-quarters while the Government cavalry successfully turned the Jacobite flanks.
His army destroyed, Prince Charles fled into exile and the last hope of a Stuart restoration went with him.
Note: Field hexes in this scenario represent rough moorland terrain.
This variant scenario begins after the Jacobite army had redeployed to strengthen its front line preparatory to attacking, in response to which Cumberland brought two battalions from his reserve to strengthen his right.
Recommended Rules: [Default]
Intended to be played as the Anti-Pragmatic forces against the Pragmatic Alliance AI, but can be played from either side or Head-to-Head.
