Scenario Briefing: Alternate - Marshal Saxe's 1746 campaign in the Austrian Netherlands had been a major success, capturing the fortresses of Mons, Charleroi and Namur. He was expecting a relatively quiet end to the campaign season when the Pragmatic Army under Charles of Lorraine marched into a triangle of land formed by the Jaar and Meuse Rivers. Saxe was determined to destroy this army, and attacked on October 11.

He focused his attack on the Allied left, held by the Dutch, expecting to be able to break through them and then crush the British in the center. However, the Dutch were able to hold firm long enough for the Pragmatic Army to withdraw to safety, bruised but not destroyed.

Note: In this scenario the Austrians are fixed for a time.

Recommended Rules: [Default]

Intended to be played as the Anti-Pragmatic forces against the Pragmatic Alliance AI, but can be played from either side or Head-to-Head.

Note: This is a very large scenario, so scripting is problematic. So, we are using "Flags" to control each side. Anti-Pragmatic is set as Human because they are on the offensive, but they have a very large numerical superiority.
