Espinosa 10 November 1808 - Variant scenario using gun sections, 10 minute turns and an alternative pdt. Defeated at Zornosa, Blake's exhausted Spanish army lost almost half it's strength to wholesale straggling as it fell back to a strong defensive position at Espinosa de los Monteros. Believing the Spaniards too demoralized to offer much resistance, Victor sent Villatte's division into action straightaway without waiting for the rest of the French army to arrive. However, San Roman's elite troops resisted ferociously and even when the entire French force had reached the battlefield the Spanish managed to hold their ground. The French would be compelled to resume the battle the following morning.
