Nive: The 2nd Combat of Barrouillet 11 December 1813 - After the British reconnaissance of the French position before Bayonne on 9 December and Soult's counter-attack on 10th, on the night of 10 December three German battalions left the French lines and surrendered to the British. The following morning, Wellington instructed Greville's brigade of 5th Division to drive back Reille's outposts away from Barrouillet, prompting Soult to launch another attack, with Daricau's division moving up in support of Boyer's troops.
