Nive: St Pierre 13 December 1813 - Heavy rain had destroyed the pontoon bridge near Villafranque on 12 December, making it difficult for the British forces on either side to maintain contact until it could be repaired by noon the following day. On the night of the 12-13, Hill received reports that indicated French troops were massing to attack on his side of the Nive. However, it was after 8am before Soult could get his attack underway and he would only have at most four hours before substantial reinforcements could reach Hill ... NB: The British 3rd Division are fixed until midday, to represent the pontoon bridge being under repair until then.

French have a good chance to beat Wellington in detail, but if the British retreat in time and use the light infantry well - everything can change cardinally after reinforcements will come.

Really hard scenario for the allies, overwhelming French superiority in the first half. Hard decision between losing men or losing terrain that will cost men to regain.
