May 5, 1943: The Flower Class Corvette HMS Pink was shepherding 4 stragglers from the main ONS-5 convoy. Shortly before noon, she developed a contact. The Pink was able to seriously damage one submarine (perhaps U-358), but while she was doing that, U-584 was able to approach and torpedo one of her charges.
