29 January, 1942: Patrolling off Reykjavik U-132's Kptlt Vogelsang came upon a small rescue effort. The USCG cutter Alexander Hamilton had just transferred towing duties to the sea going tug Frisky. He fired all four bow torpedoes and some found their home, sinking the Alexander Hamilton. She was the second, and largest, American ship lost in the war in the Atlantic.
