01 DECEMBER 1939, KUHMO ROAD, KAINUU REGION: Captain, the Russian attack at Artahuhta was slowed down for only a couple of hours; but we need your troops in another sector. It looks like they have committed a second division since we identified the 54th Rifle Division in the area. Border scouts reported that a large Russian column has been advancing towards Kuhmo. It contains motorized infantry and armor. Your unit is the only one that can intercept and delay the enemy advance. Ride at full speed and cut the road. The disruption of the enemy column will give us time to prepare a strong defensive position at Kuhmo. Good luck commander.

This is a very unbalanced scenario for PBEM play. There is virtually no chance for the Finns to win this scenario.

I failed to understand the tactics of how Molotov cocktails are used properly and I failed to grapple with the Russians tanks fast enough.

I think the scenario is well-balanced, despite my poor tactical handling.

It's tough for the Finns to stop the Red Army in this one as they have some mounted infantry vs a Soviet tank column with infantry. The best weapons the Finns have in this scenario is the forest as the Soviet tanks have a tendency to break down in rough terrain.
