Trip to Normandy - Oberst - 12-20-2007 Several years ago I had the good fortune of visiting Normandy with several members of the Blitz as part of a tour group. While we did visit several famous locations there was much more that I know that I would have liked to see. As such I am thinking of taking a trip sometime next year, probably around August or September. I would like to go with 1 or 2 other Blitz members who are also interested. I plan on renting a car so that we can travel around. Let me know if anyone maybe interested. I have had a plan to next year spend a week or two in NW Europe -Verdun, and the Western Front battlefields further North in the Somme and Flanders areas. My buddy sent me some pictures of his trip to Normandy and the Maginot Line while I was in Iraq. He just about had me convinced to head over this summer for a whirlwind European Vacation. Doesn't look like OPTEMPO will let me lose any time soon though... I'll begin prepping for a return gig to Iraq in '08... C'este La Guerre... Jim vK
