This is just a SMALL sample, the data goes on forever. If I reply to his email it takes about 2 minutes to send a 50kb file. Any ideas on how to solve this?

If your opponent strictly zips the file it will not be displayed outside the zip until it is opened. I suspect your opponent is sending the file in zip AND open as an attachment that fills your email window. Maybe, the winzip is set to auto extract which might cause the file to be displayed when it arrives. Best make sure the winzip is formatted without Auto or Self Extraction.

I used to get this with some of my opponents when i was using my university email account.

I've switched to google mail and have never had it since.

This issue should be resolved within the Email program and/or with the HELP menu there.

Some are suggesting it is with the IP? I dunno...

But someone (Weasel) ought to track it down within the Email program/HELP resources and take it to the ISP if need be. And please share the findings with us here so we can close this thread and provide a "fix" for any others that are affected by this weirdness.
