RE: Indirect Fire
Want to know another trick with spotters?

Say you have a pretty good idea of where the enemy will pop up, but not necessarily when. Plot the artillery to fall and if the timer gets less than a minute or two and the enemy hasn't shown up yet, adjust fire to nearby to delay the arty a bit. If you time it right, you can delay for quite a while and then drop within a turn or two when he does show.

If you guessed completely wrong, you can always cancel and replot somewhere else without wasting ammo.

This works really well with longer lead times and heavy artillery with not a lot of ammo.

RE: Indirect Fire
Wish to point out that ONLY with CMBO can you reasonably accurately target anywhere on the map with a spotter.

This was changed for CMBB and CMAK, and random fire in those games has only a small chance of going anywhere near where you wanted it to...

Good post, Mad Baron!

Good post, Mad Baron!

Anywhere on the map that your spotter doesn't have an LOS to.

Good Hunting.
