Zip program
I know it's been asked before but couldn't find the old thread, is their a good alternative to WinZip/WinRar out their as mine have expired.

One day left until CMSF. Eek

What OS are you using? XP/2000 (and I assume Vista, not sute about WinME) have an embedded zip program that works well. AFAIK, it is compatible with WinZip, PkZip, etc. I use it and nhave never got a complaint from an opponent.

If you have XP, just right-click the file, move down to "Send To", and then choose "Compressed (zipped) Folder".

I've got XP Pro, your spot on i've just tried it. I had no idea that XP had it's own zip program, all this time messing around with WinZip........DOH!

Win XP/2000 will pretty much automatically open any .zip file (Winzip, pkzip, etc.). It will sometimes open .tar and .gz (gzip) files. It will not open .rar files.
