Value of Opponent Intel.

Just lately I have started to keep a log book of my games of CM. I note my opponent, the size of game and type of game, the types of tactics that they used and the units that were involved on both sides and of course the outcome.

I started doing this just as a bit of fun and to keep a more detailed record of my games but I now realize that it is also a good source of Intel on my regular opponents. Looking back over the pages you can see that some players tend to use similar tactics again and again and that certain units seem to get picked more often than others. This gives me more idea now what to buy in QB games, something that always gives me pause for thought.

I was just wondering if any of you do something similar or am I the only Muppet here.
