I have real trouble when crossing rivers in CM. A sniper can pin a whole platoon midstream.... and its scary what MG's even LMG's can do to your advance.

Laying smoke is hit and miss too.... smoke doesnt take to the water... doesnt drift over the water and instead splatters the banks with the odd shell.

What are your hints and tips for getting your men safely across!?
