Speaking of being impenetrable frontal (or any side) armour my nightmare would be the ultra-sloped IS-3 and IS-4. In skilled hands these are very hard to kill. I have been having a game against an opponent and have bombarded his IS-4s with dozens of 88mm/L71 shells, but they only are effective from less than 10 hexes! From that distance the IS-4 can hit you easily too.
