That may be the reason.

The problem is that in Campaign Series when you load PBEM battle, the program asks you for a password so you don't know which turn it is, you have to assume that it's your turn. In Battlegroud Series it's solved a bit better as program asks specifically on the particular password for the side is supposed to play.
