I was affraid a bit that something terribly wrong must have happened as he turned out to be quite a trustworhty and consitent opponent and moreover a nice guy so I did not expect him to disappear abruptly for no reason. But perhaps we've known each other no so well afer all.

That's what I am concerned about as well. I also found him to be very trustworthy with sending turns. I sent him an e-mail not game related, and didn't get an answer either. I hope he is OK health wise. Maybe a PC crash?
Any of you American guys that can maybe give him a call? I'm sure I have got a an e-mail somewhere where he mentioned where he is located. Surely a surname such as Carangi cannot be too common around there. I would phone him myself if I could find a telephone directory for the US. I'll see if I can find it online somewhere, if it is available. Then there is the time difference, my days are his nights.
