HPS TOC Total War in Europe series

RE: HPS TOC Total War in Europe series
I used to have the first one and it did show promise to a point of being able to eventually have all of ww2 at least in Europe which also would lend to a post ww2 to present type of game as well for a ww3 or other lesser conflicts and some that never were etc. My problem is there was not enough detail. Once I played the PzCs with strength in men, guns and vehicles, the strength point system just doesn't cut it for me. Also, when doing an attack, you get an idea of success or not, so you can add another unit and your probable outcome changes in your favor, but not enough, you add another and it falls to way better for you, then you do the attack. One is not supposed to know what the outcome of the battle will most likely be prior to the attack. That should be left to a determination on the player's part, not handed to him by the puter. Now if they could make those games better and more along the lines of WitP:AE, maybe not as complex, but enough details would get me real interested again. A good mix of something similar to PzCs, BoB/BotR and a good naval game would make for a great game of ww2 to present day. A much better, realistic easier to play and much better details than the game Superpower. I like the real units/squadrons/ships than a generic number of 17 F16s or 25,000 men etc etc. Every game where one can create units should have a list of real units to choose from. If all of a type have been used, then add your own.
