Thanks for that input Marius.

I saw that the Scheduled forces for the Axis seemed to be significant (after 2 days) and thought that the whole thing might be about using Hungarian speed bumps in depth effectively (by slowing not killing) until the German Scheduled / Fixed units were released.

Perhaps they arrive / are released too late?

Since history happened as it did, perhaps that addresses the historical accuracy but may not satisfy the fun factor.

On the other hand, IIRC, the Soviet victory requirement seems rather steep? And forces them to take all or most of the Budapest VP areas?

Does it seem like you may be able to defend Budapest at all or are the Soviet just too overwhelming?
