RE: THE MALITZ TROPHY COMPETITION
It's great fun. Even if you are new to CM or just coming back - it is worth a go for the exerience and who knows you may get a sudden lucky LOS and one-shot-one-kill. POS just did! [But it would hardly be fair to describe POS as new!!!] :)

They may not be stemmed, but they ain't happy. Eek

Always interesting how different the game looks with the units scaled up to maximum size like that.

Ya gotta respect a man who practices what he preaches....

The famous Spike Stack at work:

I had my three boys in a stack per POS Doctrine, unfortunately he came at me with two stacks. I split the exchange, hit and presumably killed two of his for two of mine, but now my remaining tank is looking down the barrel at 2-1 odds at best, 4-1 if Spike's other two Pz IV's can get LOS.

I know there's no way he could afford a King Tiger in a 1500 point game, when I've already seen Pz IV's and mucho infantry.....still gives me the shivers.....

COMBAT FOOTAGE - Seel's Brummbar torches church..

PIC 1 - Accompanied by a Tiger, the Brummbar sits at top left shelling the church, but divine retribution is at hand as I send 3x T-34/85's hooking round behind them at high speed to knife them in the back..
But a Puma lurking at top right knifes one of my T-34's first..

PIC 2 - Eat this Charlie.... the remaining 2x T-34's arrive in position and their knives flash as the Brummbar and Tiger have no chance to pivot in time to bring their guns to bear.

COMBAT FOOTAGE - Huzaar's Panthers ambush my T-34's..

Groan, I was caught by a sucker punch as my 4 x T-34/85's rolled on 'hunt' down the road with their turrets arced right towards the centre of town!
So when Huzaar's 2 Panthers appeared between the houses (blue arrow route) my boys were looking the wrong way, and I lost 2 before the others woke up and started returning fire.
Result - 2 dead T-34's, 1 holed Panther (bailing?)
