A short CM night before christmas

T’was 10 turns to go after my perfectly planned trap
T’was no shooting, no moving – I had conquered the map.
My units were positioned by the flags with little care,
In hopes the “I surrender” message soon would be here.
Infantry and guns were all snug in good cover,
While shooting his routed men still was not over.
And the wife – in only a ‘kerchief and rubbing my back -
Was ready and wanting me to join her in the sack.
But when I pressed ‘Go’ there arose such a clatter
I bit at my nails for I feared to see what was the matter.

Over the crest of the hill on this map with light snow
Came showers of death to my men down below,
When, what to my terrified eyes should appear,
But one nasty Brumbar, and eight other Panz’eers
What a nasty surprise, it happened so quick,
I knew at that moment my arse was about to get kicked!
More rapid than from flamers, my men how than ran
The bombs whistled, my men shouted, and I cursed at the game.

One Tiger, One Panther, One Hetzer, One Marder,
A Stummel, a Nashorn, two StuHs – What Murder!
On the top of the Hill! The sat like a wall!
The blasted! They blasted! They blew away all!
