RE: New member wanting opponents and howto
Armored cars are relatively low cost means of reconnaissance if you use them right since they cannot be taken out with small arms fire. "Using them right" is hard to do as they are vulnerable, I like to move them up in cover then do shoot and scoot orders to draw fire from hidden threats like antitank guns. Better to lose low cost elements than your high cost tanks but be aware that the lower the quality the less they see or see quickly. Probably the best thing to use for recon are crack snipers and vet or regular recon teams.

I like M-8s they have a good load of HE, AP, and Cannister against infantry and they can take out carriers and such. They are speedy and can get on SP guns flank quickly.

In our game, we can call it a draw straight away so you can use it to get out of boot camp and I will talk you through the game and question you about choices you made. I'm not worried in this instance with winning or losing.

There is no one way to do things which makes the game so enjoyable and you don't want to do the same old thing all the time because your opponents pick up on that.

its cool i got a games on the go I can use to escape bootcamp, im more concerned about figuring out tight army compositions since im pretty sure that atm the forces i make will go down knife through butter style in the face of a decent player.

im thinking ill invest in a few green M-20's next game to skirmish around the middle for LoS and the like, since that sounds like a good way to provoke your opponent into bringing some anti armour into the open

You would be surprised at the number of players who don't cover their flanks, which makes rear area raids viable with speedy T-70s and the like. It's kind of fun to hear the howls of protest when you show up behind a line of tanks and start shooting them in the ass.

Remember, the less quality the slower they are to respond to orders.
