Query re. Reinforcement Strategies
Experimenting with the scenario editor and have a question re. Reinforcement Strategies.

In the JTS operational games you can add randomization to a custom scenario by creating several Reinforcement Strategies/Operations that the AI will have to choose from. In this way, the Player won't know exactly when/where the AI reinforcements will come into play.

But is it possible to fix it so that there is also a chance that the reinforcements won't arrive at all? For example, by setting a date/time outside the scenario range? Or adding a location ref. that is not on the map? Or maybe via some other method?

For example, is it possible to create a situation in which there's a 33% chance the AI reinforcements will arrive in Location A, a 33% chance they'll arrive in Location B, and a 33% chance they won't arrive at all?

Or is that not possible?

In the Napoleonic and Squad Battles series, reinforcements are handled via a single Reinforcement Dialog box (no "Strategies/Operations") that also allows for alternative locations and associated arrival probabilities to be added. But it seems you can't have non-arrival as a possibility---is that right?

Many thanks in advance for replies.

RE: Query re. Reinforcement Strategies
Not as familiar with the PzC Editor but the ACW has a Probability Setting in the Reinforcement Dialog, setting this to 0 will prevent the reinforcements from arriving.

RE: Query re. Reinforcement Strategies
You can, just don't include the units in a strategy choice. Then if that option is picked the units aren't used. So each choice could have different units, times of arrival, locations, etc.

Yay, glad there isn't a nuance to what you want that this doesn't help with.
