So, I'll be pulling out of tournament.

Sorry, thanks for putting on tourney.

I'll reach out to Panther, your pairing, and we'll see what we can do to find a replacement for you.

If anyone out there wants to join this tournament there is a spot for you.

Some News....

Since we had a dropout, his opponent Panther421 has graciously offered to drop out of the tournament to ensure we had an even number of entrants. I accepted his offer, and I am grateful that I don't have to fill in for the missing entrant.
Panther421 is in the FWWC tournament so you can battle him there. Thanks.

The current entrant list...

Team 1 (Russian)
ComradeP
Dog Soldier
Liebchen
akilpio
Witblitz
lorddeadwood
erick_repie

Team 2 (German)
Fhil
The_General
Mersh
Iceman
Ricky B
Partizanka
Arkan

Thank you Panther421, as it was no fault of your own that you had to drop out you will still be eligible for the benefits of being a participant in this Tourney.

Hope you have more luck with the FWWC Tourney.  Smile

Another excellent result! It will be difficult to catch up for the other Soviet players.

Did you attack with the Tank Corps immediately?

Thanks and yes I attacked with the Tank corps right from the beginning. It was a tough grinding match, but the German front collapsed in the last 3-4 turn so I was able to take most of the victory locations outside of Kharkov. An interesting scenario!

Our game completed - lorddeadwood (Soviet) vs Fhil (Axis) - Soviet Minor Defeat at 404 pts.

The line was not broken, although the SS are quite depleted by the end of the second day. They would still be able to hold up maybe another day, but a withdrawal would be neccessary. Their panzers were not released.

320.ID also defended Borovoye area with taking three soviet btls as POWs. They are spent by the end of the second day though and would have to evacuate the area immediately if the battle would continue.

I have some difficulties with posting a picture here, so if interested, please check the attachment.

Wow, with those Axis losses holding the line is an impressive feat. In our game, the Sturm battalion was lightly engaged, but both SS regiments took a beating. The northern SS PzG regiment had a strength of less than a battalion by the end of the game and that was with about 1100 losses less than in your game.
